Ep. 178 Summer Reading!
It’s Summer! Well, depending on where you live, it may or may not feel like it. But, the power that be say that after Memorial day it IS summer. Although, the Summer Solstice isn’t until June 20… damn. This is tricky.
BUT, that wont keep us from rocking our third annual “Summer Reading List” show. As we might get a little time in the car (audible.com!) or on a beach, in the woods etc… we might be able to pick something up to read. So, should you get whatever they are selling at the airport? Sure. But if you dig the show and want to read some of the stuff that we have found to have had a really deep impact on us, our students and others, you might want to check out these texts. They are all relatively easy (at least, they are not academic tomes). Some have to do with our upcoming books Sexy by Jeff and Monsters by Dan (so, plenty of Sex and Addiction- but on the virtuous tip). I also tell you for the 500th time to read East of Eden.
Here is the list. And enjoy the show!
Anzari, Aziz, Modern Romance
Frykholm, Amy, See Me Naked
Grant, Jonathan, Divine Sex
Gottman, John, The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work
Bengt Hoffman, Theology of the Heart: The Role of Mysticism in the Theology of Martin Luther
