Dr. John Lu, a social psychologist at Concordia University Irvineand Faithful Masks Fellow, joins us for a conversation about the history, philosophy, and psychology of happiness. We learn about the three levels of happiness and get an answer to the question of whether money can buy happiness. Jeff makes reference to a relative, Herbert Kern, who did pioneering research related to ultraviolet light and depression. We mention John Locke and Thomas Jefferson on the nature of life, liberty, and happiness. John and Dan compete against each other to guess the top five happiest countries and US states. This is a good show, as it is simultaneously enjoyable, full of ontent, and easily applied to everyone's life.
